Floods in Indonesia have claimed 1317 lives

The number of casualties from severe floods and landslides on the Indonesian island of Sumatra has sharply increased. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to official data, the natural disaster claimed the lives of 1317 people, with another 588 missing. This was announced by the country's National Agency for Disaster Management.
The consequences of the disaster are severe, with over three thousand people injured. Floodwaters have destroyed many residential areas, road infrastructure, and important engineering facilities.
Rescuers are facing difficulties reaching the most affected areas. Experts believe that these catastrophic disasters were caused by continuous rainfall lasting for a week.
In the past two weeks, floods and landslides in South and Southeast Asia have resulted in over 1500 deaths and affected nearly 11 million people. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has stated that no Uzbek citizens were harmed during the natural disasters in Indonesia.
