Measures to protect the rights of Uzbek migrants in the city of Petersburg will be strengthened. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Migration Agency's representative office of Uzbekistan and the Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Saint Petersburg signed cooperation agreements with the city's Bar Association and the International Bar Association "Saint Petersburg". These agreements will be valid for one year and are aimed at providing assistance to citizens of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan working in Russia, particularly in Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
Within the framework of the agreement, Russian lawyers will compile a list of specialists specializing in migration, labor, administrative, civil, and criminal law. They will assist migrants by offering free consultations, providing legal assistance in courts and government agencies, as well as organizing lectures and seminars.
Additionally, a system for sharing useful materials and information for migrants will be established. These measures are expected to help resolve legal issues faced by Uzbek and Kyrgyz citizens working in Russia, improve their working conditions, and protect their rights.
