
The Papa John’s pizza chain has ceased operations in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This information was reported by the Kursiv Kazakhstan publication based on Daniyar Monolbayev. Daniyar Monolbayev is an entrepreneur who holds the franchising rights in these regions.
According to the entrepreneur, the available financial resources are primarily directed towards covering essential payments. These include partial payments of salaries, taxes, rent, and debts.
It was also emphasized that many employees in Kazakhstan were assisted in finding jobs at other companies. As previously reported, six branches belonging to the Papa John’s chain in Almaty have been closed, and Bellissimo Pizza has started operating in their place.
The Papa John’s pizza chain was founded in 1984 by American entrepreneur John Schnatter. Today, the chain has over 5,000 branches worldwide.
It offers its services in the USA, Canada, Mexico, European countries, the Middle East, Asia, Latin America, and African countries.
