By 2035, serious conflicts between humans and robots may arise in Europe. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Analyses on this issue are presented in a report prepared by Europol, the police service of the European Union. Part of the report was published in “The Daily Telegraph”.
According to Europol’s forecast, robots will become an integral part of daily life in European countries in the near future. They are expected to be actively used in delivery, cleaning, and various other sectors.
However, in urban areas facing social difficulties, dissatisfaction among people due to unemployment may increase. At the same time, resistance against robots may also occur in some cases.
Experts believe that if tensions in society escalate, simple errors or technical malfunctions of robots could lead to major conflicts. This situation may spread further through populist ideas, particularly slogans advocating for the protection of people's interests.
Additionally, Europol has specifically noted the risk of cybercrime. Criminals may program robots for illegal purposes, assigning them tasks such as gathering information or committing various crimes.
To combat such threats, it is emphasized that law enforcement agencies need to be equipped with means to neutralize robots, including nano-grenades and “freezing weapons”. These methods could play an important role in effectively eliminating future dangers.
