
On Friday, December 12, a ceremony was held in the city of Osh, Kyrgyzstan, to unveil a statue dedicated to the great poet, thinker, and statesman Alisher Navoi. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This event was recognized as a vivid expression of the cultural closeness and historical unity between the two brotherly peoples. The statue was installed in the central part of Osh city, at the intersection of Qurmanjan Datka and Navoi streets.
This location was not chosen by chance, as it is a place that remains a constant focal point for the city’s residents and visitors. Additionally, in Osh city, there is a park, a school, and a street named after Alisher Navoi.
This demonstrates respect for the great thinker’s legacy not only symbolically but also practically. Representatives of the city administration emphasized that the installation of this statue will serve to further strengthen the friendship and brotherhood ties between the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
Moreover, it was regarded as a vivid example of attention to shared cultural values and historical heritage. It is known that the Uzbek Academic Theater named after Babur also operates in Osh city.
This theater is an important cultural venue not only for Kyrgyzstan but also for Uzbekistan, playing a significant role in strengthening spiritual ties between the two peoples. The installation of the Alisher Navoi statue in Osh is not only an expression of respect for a great figure but also an important step toward the shared history and spiritual unity that connect the two peoples.
