Josef Kardinal, who lives in Nuremberg, Germany, set a Guinness World Record with his unusual collection. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He collected a collection of 11 thousand snow globes and arranged them specially in his home. This collection creates an atmosphere that truly resembles a winter fairy tale for visitors.
Josef's hobby began in 1984. At that time, he received his first snow globe as a gift.
Since then, his friends continued to give him such globes as presents, and Josef himself also started collecting them. He says he tried to find a new specimen during every trip.
The oldest exhibit in the collection is a glass globe made in Paris in 1889, featuring a miniature view of the Eiffel Tower. He also keeps globes depicting his house and those made for special anniversaries.
The collection includes globes of various sizes, including very small ones and huge globes taller than their owner. Among the most interesting exhibits are a globe shaped like a Coca-Cola telephone, the sinking of the Titanic ship, a helicopter piloted by Santa Claus, and globes themed on various famous films, including "Harry Potter" and "Star Wars".
There is even a globe depicting "Crown-2020," a snowman related to the pandemic period. Despite his love for the winter theme, Josef prefers sunny weather.
"It rarely snows in Nuremberg, so I see the most snow through the globes in my collection," Josef says with a smile.
