Putin: Russia may reclaim its 'historical lands' by fighting
Russian President Vladimir Putin made a firm statement regarding Ukraine at the expanded meeting of the Ministry of Defense. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The British publication "The Daily Express" published the news about this statement. According to the report, Putin emphasized that if Kyiv is not ready for meaningful negotiations on territorial issues, Russia may be forced to "liberate its historical lands" on the battlefield.

The publication regarded this statement as a serious warning for Ukraine. During the meeting, Putin noted that Moscow primarily favors resolving the conflict through diplomatic means.

However, he announced that if Kyiv and Western countries abandon substantive negotiations, Russia will continue to pursue its goals by military means. Additionally, the Russian leader stressed that the Armed Forces are currently undergoing development and strengthening.

According to him, the Ukrainian army is in decline, with cases of mass desertion and fleeing being observed. Putin's statement indicates that the situation in the region is becoming increasingly tense.
