Important negotiations held in Miami, USA, to resolve the conflict in Ukraine have attracted the attention of the international community. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Representatives from America, Europe, and Ukraine participated in these meetings. Russia expressed its stance on the proposals put forward during the negotiations.
According to Yuri Ushakov, assistant to the President of Russia, much of the peace plan developed as a result of the Miami meetings is unacceptable to Moscow. He stated that Russia remains committed to previous agreements, particularly the accords reached in Anchorage.
Ushakov emphasized that Russia is currently reviewing the proposals, but they may contradict Moscow's interests. Rustem Umerov, who led the Ukrainian delegation, evaluated the negotiations positively.
The meetings were mainly conducted along four key directions: Donald Trump's 20-point peace plan, multilateral security guarantees, a security agreement between the USA and Ukraine, and Ukraine's economic recovery program. The negotiations involved Donald Trump's special representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, on behalf of the USA.
Witkoff highlighted that the meetings with Russian representatives were productive and Russia's aspirations for peace were highly appreciated. The Russian side is expected to announce its final decision after reporting to Vladimir Putin.
Experts believe that coordinating the strategic approaches of Europe and the USA remains the most crucial stage in resolving the conflict in Ukraine. However, the question remains open whether these plans will be sufficient to stop the war.
