The Kyrgyz government has adopted a new decision aimed at protecting public health. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to this decision, the import of electronic cigarettes and cartridges intended for them into the country will be banned for six months. This restriction will come into effect 15 days after the official announcement of the decision.
The main goal of the government is to reduce nicotine addiction and prevent the widespread use of electronic cigarettes among young people. Official data indicates that in recent years, the rate of electronic cigarette use among youth has significantly increased, posing a serious health risk.
For this reason, it is planned to protect public health by controlling the entry of such products into the country. Kazakhstan is also taking strict measures in this direction.
Starting from June 2024, the sale and advertising of electronic cigarettes will be completely banned in that country. In Uzbekistan, certain restrictions on electronic cigarettes have been introduced since November 2023.
Central Asian countries are intensifying the fight against nicotine and paying special attention to protecting the health of the younger generation. These measures are expected not only to improve health but also to create a healthy environment for future generations.
