In China, a driver was trapped inside his car for four hours due to a malfunction in the vehicle's cruise control system. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The car moved continuously at a speed of 115 kilometers per hour, covering a distance of 490 kilometers. The driver tried several times to use the brake system, shift the transmission to neutral, and turn off the cruise control, but all attempts were unsuccessful.
This was reported by Shine publication. The incident occurred on the Lanzhou – Haikou expressway.
The road patrol service followed the malfunctioning vehicle and cleared part of the road to ensure traffic safety. The car only stopped after running out of fuel.
After the incident, the driver announced that he had reached an agreement with the car manufacturer. The company agreed to fully refund the amount paid for the car and to pay additional financial compensation.
The company's name was not disclosed. This incident once again demonstrated that while modern technologies provide convenience, technical malfunctions can pose a danger to human life.
Therefore, special attention must be paid to the reliability of vehicle systems.
