Starting from January 1, 2026, the procedure for testing foreign citizens in Russia on the Russian language, Russian history, and the country's legislation will be fully transferred to an electronic format. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This innovation applies to all individuals planning to obtain a patent or residence permit. The Ministry of Education and Science of the country has officially confirmed the transition to computer-based exams.
According to podrobno.uz, the main goal of this reform is to reduce the human factor in the assessment process, increase transparency, and eliminate the risk of corruption.
From now on, the practice of using paper forms and face-to-face interviews without video recording will be abolished. Test exams will be conducted using remote technologies.
This will allow supervisory authorities to monitor the examination process in real time. Additionally, confidentiality regarding the tasks will be strengthened.
The previously practiced open distribution of announced answers will be canceled. The exam question database will be updated monthly, which will render old cheat sheets or purchased answer keys ineffective.
Within the framework of the reform, the list of organizations authorized to conduct exams will also be regulated. Now, only state institutions will be granted this authority, and their activities will be strictly supervised by Rosobrnadzor.
This centralization aims to eliminate intermediaries and illegal schemes that promise certificates without taking the test.
