Medical Examination Requirements for Migrants Are Being Strengthened in Russia

In Russia, the possibility of imposing fines on foreign citizens who refuse to undergo mandatory medical examinations and deporting them through the courts is being considered. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
A bill on this issue is planned to be submitted to the State Duma in the near future. This was announced by Vyacheslav Volodin, the speaker of the lower house of the State Duma, according to kursiv.uz.
According to the new regulation, migrants who have come to Russia for more than three months will be required to undergo a medical examination not within 90 days, but within 30 days. Medical institutions are required to submit their conclusions to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and in case infectious diseases are detected, this information must be sent to Rospotrebnadzor.
Additionally, it is proposed to strengthen penalties against the forgery of medical documents confirming the absence of dangerous diseases or the distribution of such documents. These measures are being developed to regulate the flow of migrants and to enhance safety in the healthcare sector.
