Russian ambassador Solovyov was summoned for a statement

The Russian ambassador to Armenia, Sergey Kopirkin, was summoned to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This step was taken following comments by journalist Vladimir Solovyov on a Russian TV channel regarding the possibility of a military operation in Armenia. According to Solovyov, Russia should consider intervening in Armenia's internal affairs, as losing this country would be a significant loss for Russia.
The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed dissatisfaction with these statements and delivered an official note to the Russian ambassador. The ministry noted that such statements contradict the spirit of friendly cooperation between Moscow and Yerevan.
It is worth recalling that Russia and Armenia are members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Customs Union. Nevertheless, in recent years, Russia's failure to fully support Armenia amid conflicts with Azerbaijan has prompted Yerevan to move closer to the US and the European Union.
Additionally, Armenian government policies and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's activities are regularly criticized on Russian TV channels. These developments clearly reflect the complexity of the political situation in the region and the conflicting nature of international alliances.
