Greenland: Tensions are rising between Denmark and the USA

Following US President Donald Trump's interest in Greenland, Denmark and European countries have started sending small military units to the island to ensure security. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Trump views Greenland as a strategically important and mineral-rich territory and emphasizes that it should be under US control. Through this, he aims to protect the island from Russian or Chinese influence.
According to Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, Denmark is taking all measures to prevent Greenland from being occupied by the US. Representatives of Denmark and Greenland are conducting negotiations with the US and striving to resolve the emerging conflict as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, countries such as Germany, France, Sweden, and Norway are also planning to send their military personnel to Greenland and conduct joint exercises with allies. According to the Danish Ministry of Defense, these actions serve two main purposes: first, to demonstrate readiness to defend Greenland, and second, to ensure the protection of the island's sovereignty.
Greenland's Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen confirmed that the island will not come under US control and will remain part of Denmark and NATO. At the same time, representatives of Denmark and Greenland have planned to form a working group with the US to discuss Greenland's security.
NATO and European countries also support Greenland's sovereignty.
