NATO countries have started military exercises in Greenland

Denmark and several European countries have begun deploying small military units to Greenland. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This process is being carried out within the framework of NATO exercises, and its main goal is to strengthen security in the region. France, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom have sent their military personnel to Greenland.
In particular, France initially sent a group of 15 people and plans to later reinforce these forces with land, air, and naval units. These exercises are aimed at demonstrating NATO allies' military presence in the region and enhancing mutual cooperation.
US President Donald Trump has considered Greenland a territory of strategic importance and emphasized the necessity of keeping it under US control. Although he stated that an agreement with Denmark on this matter could be reached, he did not rule out the use of force if necessary.
Greenland's Prime Minister Jens Frederik Nielsen said that the island does not want to belong to the US and prefers to remain part of Denmark and NATO. NATO forces are striving to strengthen security in the Arctic region and enhance defense capabilities together with allies.
