Zakharova: Solovyov's views are not the official position

The Russian Foreign Ministry representative Maria Zakharova stated that the views of journalist and TV host Vladimir Solovyov on foreign policy are not the official position of Russia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to her, such statements are only the personal opinions of the journalist and are not related to state policy. During the briefing, one of the journalists reminded Zakharova of Solovyov's remarks that the issues of Venezuela and Syria are "secondary" compared to Armenia and Central Asia, and asked whether these statements could be considered Moscow's official position.
Zakharova clarified this matter, emphasizing that Solovyov's words are personal opinions expressed on his own media platform. She also added that she does not consider it her duty to evaluate these views out of context.
It should be recalled that Vladimir Solovyov, in one of his programs, mentioned the possibility of military operations regarding Armenia and Central Asia, comparing them to scenarios related to the war in Ukraine. However, Zakharova once again stressed that such statements cannot be equated with the official language of Russian diplomacy.
In general, television appearances do not reflect the official position of the state. State policy is determined through documents and official statements, while statements made on public broadcasts are regarded as personal opinions.
