Two trains collided in Spain, 21 people died

At least 21 people died in a collision between two high-speed trains on January 18 in the Cordova province of Spain. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Mass media outlets are reporting on this incident. It has been revealed that a train belonging to the Iryo company, traveling from Malaga to Madrid, derailed and collided with another train heading from the Spanish capital to Huelva.
As a result of the collision, the second train slid down a slope beside the tracks. According to Juanma Moreno, the head of the Andalusia regional government, 75 people were injured and hospitalized.
Among them, 15 are in serious condition. The official emphasized that the death toll may increase.
Heavy machinery is required to recover the bodies of the deceased. According to the El Pais publication, Spanish military forces are expected to arrive at the scene shortly.
Spain's Minister of Transport, Oscar Puente, stated that the railway section where the accident occurred was repaired last year and was in good technical condition. He described the incident as an "extraordinary event."
