Railway accident in Spain: three-day mourning declared

The Spanish government has declared three days of mourning across the country following a severe train accident in the autonomous region of Andalusia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The decision was announced by the head of the royal government, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. According to the Prime Minister, the mourning will begin at midnight on January 20 and continue until midnight on January 23.
He promised full transparency and openness in investigating the causes of the accident. According to reports, on January 18, two high-speed trains derailed in Spain.
As a result of this tragedy, 40 people died and more than 150 were injured. The accident occurred near the town of Adamus in the province of Cordoba, approximately 360 kilometers south of Madrid.
It was confirmed that the 27-year-old driver of the train traveling from Madrid to Huelva also died. There were a total of 317 passengers on the two trains.
Most of them are said to be Spanish citizens returning to or from Madrid after the weekend. Since January is not a tourist season, the number of tourists among the passengers has not yet been determined.
