How are world leaders responding to the India-Pakistan conflict?
India launched an attack on Pakistan on the night of May 7. Islamabad also responded to these strikes. World leaders commented on the recent military actions between the two nuclear-armed states.

China is calling on India and Pakistan to prioritize peace and stability, maintain calm, and exercise restraint.

China expressed regret over India's military actions early in the morning and is concerned about the current developments, according to a statement from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

US President Donald Trump

"This is a disgrace. I just heard about it. I think people were expecting something to happen based on recent history. They have been fighting for a long time. I hope this ends very quickly," he said.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio

"I am closely monitoring the situation between India and Pakistan. I support the comments made by Trump today. I hope this conflict ends quickly and that the leadership of both countries continues dialogue to resolve the issue peacefully."

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres:

"The Secretary-General is very concerned about the military operations conducted by India across the Line of Control and the international border. He calls on both countries to exercise maximum restraint militarily. The world cannot withstand military confrontation between India and Pakistan."

Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga:

"Our country strongly condemns the terrorist act that occurred in Kashmir on April 22. Furthermore, we are seriously concerned that this situation could lead to further retaliatory strikes and escalate into a large-scale military conflict. We firmly urge India and Pakistan to show restraint and stabilize the situation through dialogue for peace and stability in South Asia."

The United Arab Emirates called on India and Pakistan to "exercise restraint, reduce tensions, and avoid any escalation that could threaten regional and international peace," according to a statement from UAE Deputy Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It was noted that diplomacy and dialogue are effective means for resolving the situation peacefully.

Kyrgyz President Sadir Japarov

We are deeply concerned about the escalation of tensions between India and Pakistan, which are friendly countries and members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. We urge both sides to maintain calm as much as possible and to return to negotiations to resolve the conflict peacefully," he said.

The President stated that Kyrgyzstan has always been an advocate for stability, security, and respect for international law.

Kyrgyzstan is urging its citizens to refrain from traveling to India and Pakistan

The Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs is urging its citizens to avoid traveling to the two countries mentioned above. It is recommended not to visit these countries until the situation normalizes.

Kyrgyz citizens currently in Pakistan or India are advised to exercise extreme caution and follow local authorities' instructions, according to a statement from the republic's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to Pakistan's aviation authority, Islamabad International Airport is temporarily closed for all flights. The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority announced that air travel will resume once the situation stabilizes.
