Ramzan Kadyrov is a very popular figure among Uzbek internet users. Therefore, we will focus on the latest event surrounding him. Today, once again, rumors have emerged that Kadyrov is resigning. The difference this time is that it is not just a usual rumor; Kadyrov himself spoke about his resignation.
“I am requesting resignation”
Let me say in advance that Ramzan Kadyrov did not say in a selfie video to his more than two million followers on his channel that he is resigning. He probably wouldn't say that. However, Kadyrov did talk about actually requesting resignation.
In recent days, various rumors have spread about Ramzan Kadyrov, with independent publications in Russia writing that the Chechen leader has been spending nights in the hospital. Against this backdrop, Kadyrov's statements were published in Chechen state media. According to the publication "Chechnya segodnya," Kadyrov, who participated in the "Victory Tree" event, responded to journalists' questions about the rumors.
“I have heard it too; they are writing all sorts of things. On the contrary, I am asking to be relieved of my duties. Other people may have different initiatives and views. I hope my request will be accepted,” quoted Kadyrov by the Chechen state publication.
Additionally, the post mentioned what advice Kadyrov received from Vladimir Putin. According to the Chechen leader, Putin advised him to sleep when he is angry. “I will do that, and everything will be fine,” Kadyrov said.
Next rumors
Ramzan Kadyrov did not mention these words for no reason. Just yesterday, the publication "Novaya gazeta. Yevropa," which actively covers news about Chechnya, wrote that the Chechen leader has recently taken to spending nights at the "Aymed" clinic in Grozny and traveling to farther distances outside Grozny by special medical helicopter, and that Kadyrov has been diagnosed with pancreatic necrosis. The publication also noted that recently, in events where Kadyrov usually participates, the head of the government, Magomed Daudov, has been present.
“I was misunderstood”
However, discussions about Ramzan Kadyrov resigning, as he mentioned, did not last even a day. The Chechen leader later posted on his channel, which has over two million followers, that he was misunderstood.
“Many did not understand the meaning of my statements about resignation. Whether I continue to work as the head of Chechnya or not is not up to me. Yes, I can ask or suggest, but the decision in this matter is made only by one person – the Supreme Commander Vladimir Putin. I am a soldier; if there is an order, I will execute it,” Kadyrov wrote on his channel.
The Chechen leader also attached a video to the post. In it, Kadyrov is seen embracing Putin at various meetings. The footage showing Kadyrov's sons meeting with Putin draws attention. Recently, there have been increasing discussions about Ramzan Kadyrov considering his 17-year-old son Adam as his political heir. Kadyrov has also entrusted this son with the leadership of his security service.
We will continue to monitor the developments. If something significant happens, we will certainly inform you.
