Italy may not join Trump's "Peace Council"

Italy's Minister of Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti emphasized that it may be difficult for Italy to join the "Peace Council" initiated by former US President Donald Trump. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He spoke about this at an event held in Rome. According to the minister, after reading the announcements about Trump's initiative, it became clear that participating in this project could cause a number of problems for Italy.
In particular, it was noted that joining this council might be against the country's constitution. According to Trump's plan, the "Peace Council" is to be established under his leadership and primarily aimed at resolving conflicts in the Gaza region.
It is also planned that member states of this council will be required to pay a fee of 1 billion dollars for permanent membership. So far, this proposal has been sent to nearly 60 countries, but many nations prefer to approach this matter cautiously.
