More than 6,000 homes left without heating in Kyiv

The city of Kyiv has endured another difficult night. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
As a result of the latest attacks carried out by Russia, more than 6,000 residential buildings in the capital have been left without heating. This was officially reported by the city mayor, Vitali Klitschko.
According to Klitschko, the attacks caused serious damage to Kyiv’s critical infrastructure facilities. In particular, problems have intensified in buildings connected to heating and communal networks.
He emphasized that nearly 6,000 homes are again without heating. Most of these homes had been previously damaged, and reconnection work was carried out after the attacks on January 9 and 20.
At the same time, serious disruptions in water supply are also being observed in some areas of Kyiv, especially on the left bank. Specialists are taking urgent measures to eliminate emergency situations, but the situation has not yet fully stabilized.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also commented on these attacks, emphasizing that the main target is the country’s energy system. According to him, besides Kyiv and Kyiv region, the Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions were also hit.
In Kharkiv, a maternity hospital, dormitory, medical college, and residential buildings were damaged. Dozens of people, including children, were injured.
Zelensky noted that energy facilities in the capital and its surroundings have been the primary targets of the Russians. The current situation poses another severe test for the residents of Kyiv.
Disruptions in heating and water supply during cold days are seriously affecting the lives of the population. At the same time, local authorities and rescue services are deploying all available resources to restore infrastructure.
