Moscow: Cooperation issues with Central Asia were discussed

On January 22, consultations in the "Central Asia – Russia" format took place in Moscow. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
At the meeting, practical cooperation issues and the implementation process of the joint action plan for 2025–2027 were discussed. This plan was approved at the end of the second "Central Asia – Russia" summit held in Dushanbe on October 9, 2025.
The consultations were attended by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Ermukhambet Konuspoev, Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Alma Imangaziev, Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmonov, Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Russia Davlatshoh Gulmahmadzoda, Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Russia Esen Aydogdiyev, and other responsible officials. During the meeting, opinions were exchanged regarding the initiatives put forward by the heads of Central Asian states during the summit.
Additionally, the parties reviewed mechanisms for the systematic implementation of the joint plan. The negotiations paid special attention to cooperation issues in trade and economy, transport and logistics, energy, healthcare, cultural and humanitarian relations, and ecology.
It was emphasized that the negotiations were held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. At the end of the consultations, it was agreed to establish a working group on energy issues with Central Asian countries under the Russian Ministry of Energy.
Russian Deputy Energy Minister Roman Marshavin stated that this working group will serve to develop cooperation in the fuel and energy complex and to implement the action plan approved by the heads of state.
