In the US, a snowstorm left one million households without electricity

A severe snowstorm in the southeastern regions of the USA caused significant disruptions in electricity supply. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
As a result, more than one million households were left without electricity. This information was reported based on data from the PowerOutage monitoring service.
According to the data, the outages affected a total of 1.07 million consumers. The greatest damage was recorded in the state of Tennessee, where over 340,000 subscribers were left without power.
Additionally, significant electricity supply disruptions were observed in the states of Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, Texas, and Kentucky. Previously, there were reports of problems with the supply of electricity imported from Uzbekistan to Afghanistan.
Heavy snow and wind damaged the power transmission networks on the Pul-i-Khumri – Kabul route, resulting in a temporary halt of part of the imports. This situation led to widespread power outages in several provinces.
