Central Asian sovereignty was criticized on Russian television

Controversial opinions were expressed on the topic of independent states in Central Asia and the Caucasus region during the program "Evening Conversation with Vladimir Solovyov" aired on Russia's "Russia 1" TV channel. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The guest of the show, political analyst Sergey Mixeyev, criticized the foreign policy of the regional countries and questioned their right to act as equal partners. He emphasized that Russia has supported the region for many years, but this assistance has led to the "excessive pampering" of the regional countries.
According to Mixeyev, it is necessary to reconsider the policy in the post-Soviet space. The most striking issue was the viewpoint that "Russia owes everyone, but no one owes Russia."
Mixeyev described this situation as a "dead end" and criticized Russia for appearing to be "always indebted" in matters such as labor migration and economic aid. He also pointed to this situation as one of the reasons for the conflict in Ukraine.
The program host, Vladimir Solovyov, continued these views in an even sharper tone. He criticized some countries for expressing dissatisfaction towards Russia and expressed his displeasure with reactions such as "summoning ambassadors."
Earlier, on the "Solovyov Live" program, Solovyov also referred to Central Asia as a strategic region for Russia and spoke about the "sphere of influence." He even mentioned the "special military operation" being carried out in Ukraine in relation to Armenia and Central Asia, which sparked strong reactions among the public.
Such statements are being perceived as signals that influence the political mood in the region. Therefore, among observers, questions are increasing about "how deep this issue will go?"
In conclusion, sovereignty is not just a slogan but a principle that must be defended every day.
