Large-scale construction works have begun in North Korea

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un announced plans to fundamentally transform the DPRK by implementing new projects in at least 20 regions of the country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the state news agency KCNA, these plans include the construction of medical facilities, entertainment complexes, and industrial enterprises. International news agencies report that these changes could cover more than one-third of the country's territory.
In other words, this is not just about minor repairs but a large-scale infrastructure renewal. Construction work has officially begun in Hwanghae-namdo province.
According to Kim Jong Un, one-third of the cities and districts in the country will undergo significant changes. Images distributed by state media show Kim Jong Un working at the construction site, with surrounding people supporting him with applause.
These scenes are seen as part of official propaganda. Additionally, it was announced at the Central Committee meeting of the Workers' Party of Korea that delegates were elected for the party's 9th Congress.
The congress is expected to be held after a five-year hiatus, but the exact date has not yet been announced. Such meetings usually set major political and economic directions.
North Korean leaders promise to turn the country into a "socialist fairy tale." However, economic difficulties, international sanctions, natural disasters, and other factors complicate the implementation of these plans.
The main question is whether these projects will truly have a positive impact on the population's lives or if they will just be another round of propaganda. If the planned changes are realized, it could bring significant relief to the country's people.
However, under economic and external constraints, how successful these plans will be remains unknown. Time and results will show the outcome of these major DPRK projects.
