Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine

On January 30, Russian forces launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to information provided by the Ukrainian Air Forces, Russia used 111 unmanned aerial vehicles and one Iskander-M ballistic missile. As a result of this attack, 25 drones reached their targets, while 80 were destroyed by air defense.
However, the attacks continued during the day as well. A missile strike near Kharkiv caused severe consequences.
According to the Ukrainian Emergency Service, the strike on a civilian enterprise warehouse caused a fire over an area exceeding 5,000 square meters. More than 80 rescuers and sappers were involved in extinguishing the fire.
These strikes sparked discussions as they occurred shortly after talks about "temporary suspension of attacks on infrastructure" emerged. Former US President Donald Trump stated that he asked the Russian president to stop attacks on Kyiv and other cities due to severe cold weather.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the temporary suspension of attacks on energy infrastructure by Russia but emphasized that there was no official agreement between the parties. According to him, if Russia stops attacks on energy infrastructure, Ukraine will maintain a position of not responding.
Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Trump had communicated with Russia. However, no detailed information was provided on whether this communication was about an "energy truce" or another form of agreement.
In conclusion, although such reports raise hopes for peace, the current reality remains severe. Against the backdrop of drones, missiles, and destruction, the main question is: will these processes lead to genuine peace or be limited to another temporary pause?
