Negotiations on Ukraine continue in Abu Dhabi

Negotiations surrounding Ukraine are once again in the spotlight. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Dmitry Peskov, the Press Secretary of the President of Russia, the second phase of negotiations on Ukraine will take place on February 4–5 in Abu Dhabi. This meeting was previously postponed because it was not easy to align the schedules of the participating parties simultaneously.
At the same time, Russia reiterates that the door remains open for negotiations. According to Peskov, resolving the situation in Ukraine is a complex process; some issues have approached a solution, but many others remain unresolved.
This process is not expected to conclude quickly and is continuing step by step. Economic cooperation issues are also planned to be discussed within the framework of the negotiations.
Kirill Dmitriev has been noted as responsible for the working group in this regard. Statements have also mentioned issues related to Iran.
Russia has expressed readiness to assist in easing the situation in Iran, and the proposal to remove highly enriched uranium from the country has also been considered. At the same time, there is currently no clear agreement regarding relations between Russia and France, although the French side's views on the necessity to continue dialogue have been acknowledged.
After the meeting in Abu Dhabi, several issues are expected to be clarified. In particular, it may become known in which directions rapprochement is occurring and the schedule for future negotiations.
Overall, this is not the conclusion of the process, but important changes are likely to be observed in the next phase.
