Elon Musk: A city will be built on the Moon, a base on Mars

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has announced new plans for space exploration. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to him, the company aims first to build a self-sustaining city on the Moon. Building a base and city on Mars will be carried out in later stages.
Musk announced this on his social media page. According to Musk, implementing the Moon project is much faster and easier compared to Mars.
Flights to the Moon can be organized once every 10 days, and the flight time is only two days. Mars flights, however, are possible only when the planets align closely, that is, once every 26 months.
The journey to Mars takes approximately six months. For this reason, Musk views the Moon as a "rapid testing ground" and Mars as a "long-term goal."
However, Musk has not abandoned the Mars project. According to him, SpaceX plans to start building a city on Mars within 5–7 years.
But the current main focus is on the Moon. Musk believes that creating infrastructure on the Moon provides a convenient opportunity to test technologies and correct errors.
On Mars, this process will be complex and expensive. Additionally, according to media reports, SpaceX has informed investors that it will pay more attention to Moon programs in the coming years.
An unmanned landing on the Moon is also planned for March 2027. Musk's approach reflects a strategic perspective in space exploration.
Successful city construction on the Moon will form important experience and confidence on the way to Mars. This decision could lead to new achievements in the entire space sector.
As Moon missions increase, new technologies, energy sources, and life support systems will develop. Mars remains a major goal, but now it will be pursued based on clear plans and calculations.
