Volunteers needed to lie down for 10 days for space research

The Institute of Space Medicine and Physiology in Toulouse is planning to conduct an experiment for future space missions and is looking for volunteers. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Participants in this experiment are required to lie down continuously for 10 days and consume a minimal amount of food. The French publication "Le Figaro" reported on the experiment.
Scientists are seeking 10 healthy men aged between 20 and 40 who lead a healthy lifestyle. Volunteers will be promised a payment of 5,000 euros for participating in the study.
During the experiment, participants will lie in bed with the head of the bed positioned lower than the feet. This position is intended to simulate weightlessness conditions.
Visits will be prohibited during the experiment, but participants will be able to communicate with their relatives by phone. Additionally, scientists aim to study the effects of fasting on the body.
Participants will consume only 250 calories per day. They will be allowed to have only one spoon of honey, soup, and fruit juice, according to Dr. Rebecca Biyet de Vilmer, head of the space clinic.
This research is expected to be of significant importance for future space flights.
