The streets in London were beautifully illuminated in honor of Ramadan

The famous Coventry Street in London, the capital of England, was festively illuminated this year in celebration of the month of Ramadan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan announced this on his social media pages. The street lighting works in honor of Ramadan were carried out in cooperation with the "Aziz" foundation and the London municipality.
This street stretches from Piccadilly Circus to Leicester Square and looked even more beautiful in the evening. This year's decorations were made based on geometric light patterns, and a light installation displaying the phrase "Ramadan Mubarak!" was installed on the pedestrian walkway.
It was noted that more than 31,000 LED lights were used for this. The lighting works continue daily from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM local time and are planned to last until March 19.
This initiative allows not only Muslims but also all residents and visitors of London to feel the spirit of Ramadan. At the lighting ceremony, London Mayor Sadiq Khan symbolically switched on the lights together with a representative of the foundation.
According to the mayor, London is among the first cities in the Western world to specially decorate its central street in honor of the month of Ramadan. He emphasized that Ramadan is a period that unites people of different nationalities and religions, strengthening mutual respect and solidarity.
This initiative, which began in 2023, has today become one of London's important Ramadan traditions.
