Terrorist attack near Moscow: 149 people died

On March 22, 2024, it was reported that a terrorist attack occurred at the "Crocus City Hall" concert venue near Moscow, Russia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The incident took place a few minutes before the start of the concert by the group "Piknik." Four armed individuals stormed into the hall, opened fire on the audience, and caused a fire.
The fire covered an area of more than 13,000 square meters and took a full day to extinguish. According to official Russian sources, 149 people died as a result of the attack, and nearly 600 people were injured to varying degrees.
During the investigation, it was stated that this crime was committed by Tajik citizens Shamsiddin Fariduniy, Dalerjon Mirzoyev, Muhammadsobir Fayzov, and Saidakromi Rajabalizoda. They are accused under several articles of the Criminal Code, including organizing a terrorist act.
The prosecutor demanded a life sentence in a special regime colony for these four individuals. Additionally, life imprisonment was requested for 11 other persons who assisted them.
For another four accused individuals, sentences ranging from 19 to 22 years of imprisonment have been requested. According to the investigation version, the attack was organized by the ISIS "Wilayat Khorasan" group.
At the same time, the Russian Investigative Committee also accused Ukrainian special services of involvement in this case. The Ukrainian government denied these allegations.
Following this tragic event, reports have spread about increased pressure on migrants in Russia and a rise in the number of raids. Currently, court proceedings are ongoing.
Importantly, justice decisions must be made within the framework of the law and based on evidence.
