The US is bringing a Japanese elite marine unit to the Middle East

The United States is bringing an elite marine unit from Japan to strengthen the situation in the Middle East region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to The Telegraph, this move will form a rapid response group of 2,500 personnel. This force is specially trained to operate quickly in crisis areas and carry out combat missions with very short warning times.
Based on Tengrinews reports, this unit usually belongs to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Brigade stationed on Okinawa Island. Their main characteristic is that they can operate not only relying on land military bases but also through floating platforms at sea.
This allows them to approach conflict zones and adapt to any situation. Currently, these fighters are located aboard the USS Tripoli amphibious assault ship.
This ship is not just a transport vessel but also serves as a light aircraft carrier carrying F-35B fighter jets. Although American officials have not yet disclosed the exact reason for redeploying these forces, analysts believe it is related to security issues in the region's waterways.
In particular, the increasing attacks on cargo ships in strategically important waterways such as the Strait of Hormuz are causing concern. Therefore, these elite forces may be tasked with restoring control over the strait and protecting the waterways.
In recent days, the media has also been discussing Washington's broader military measures against Iran. Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that after Iran intensified attacks on ships in the strait area, the United States is sending additional military forces to the region.
These events are causing fluctuations in global oil and gas prices. Meanwhile, Iran continues to issue warnings and emphasizes that if American ground forces enter its territory, they are prepared to take sharp retaliatory measures.
Thus, the balance of power in the region is changing, and new strategic shifts are beginning.
