Mackenzie Scott dedicated her wealth to charity
In 2019, after the divorce process with Jeff Bezos was completed, Mackenzie Scott came into possession of $38 billion worth of Amazon shares. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Thus, she became one of the richest women in the world. Many expected her to choose one of three traditional paths.

One was to live a lavish life, the second was to create a personal media empire, and the third was to establish a large charitable foundation. However, Mackenzie Scott chose none of these paths.

She broke the existing rules in the charity sector and chose a unique approach. In an open letter, she wrote, "I will share my money until it runs out," and joined the "Giving Pledge" initiative founded by Warren Buffett and Bill Gates.

With this, she promised to donate at least half of her wealth during her lifetime. Scott's approach differs from traditional foundations.

She does not limit bureaucracy or strict control, does not require reports, and does not impose conditions. Her name is often not mentioned in the press.

Funds are delivered secretly to those in need and often become the largest charity in history. Her team works like detectives.

They find organizations that are poor but doing important work for society. For example, bankrupt food banks, rural hospitals operating with old equipment, and small social projects helping former prisoners are among them.

Organizations unexpectedly receive an email: "We believe in your work and want to help." Millions of dollars are directed to them without conditions.

As a result of Scott's generosity, the children's hospital in Detroit doubled its staff of psychologists, educational institutions received the largest funds, and shelters for victims of domestic violence expanded their capabilities during the pandemic. Within a year, she gave nearly $6 billion to almost 500 organizations.

The interesting part is that because she does not spend the money quickly, the value of Amazon shares has increased, and her net worth continues to grow. According to Forbes, Mackenzie Scott is one of the richest people in the world, but she does not seek publicity for her charity or hold public events.

She proved that modern charity can be effective and quiet. Mackenzie Scott's approach is a high example of trust in humanity and genuine generosity, continuing to improve the lives of thousands of people.
