Fire broke out on the USS Gerald R Ford aircraft carrier

On March 12, in the Red Sea, a fire broke out on the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier belonging to the United States Navy. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
A strong fire occurred on the Ford aircraft carrier. According to The New York Times, the fire started from the ventilation hole of a dryer in the laundry room and quickly spread throughout the entire aircraft carrier, according to the ship's crew.
Sailors worked for more than a day to extinguish the fire. As a result of the fire, more than 600 beds and personal belongings of the crew members were destroyed.
Because of this, many crew members were forced to sleep on the floor or on tables. During the firefighting process, two people were seriously injured, and dozens of sailors were poisoned by carbon monoxide.
However, none of the victims' lives are in danger. On board the USS Gerald R.
Ford, approximately 4,500 sailors and deck aviation pilots serve. Representatives of Iran's "Khatam al-Anbiya" military command speculated that some members of the US crew might have deliberately caused the fire.
A staff representative explained the incident as the crew members' fear of participating in combat operations. This incident once again showed the necessity for the United States Navy to pay more serious attention to ship safety and internal order issues.
