New negotiations between Zelensky and the US are scheduled for March 21

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that a new round of negotiations with the United States aimed at ending Russia's war against Ukraine will take place on March 21. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In his evening address on March 19, the President stated that the Kyiv delegation has already departed for the United States and that both sides are ready to continue work within existing formats. He acknowledged that diplomatic processes have slowed down somewhat in recent times but emphasized that the time to put an end to this has arrived.
Zelenskyy stated that the goal is for the negotiations to be substantive and to see practical steps aimed at halting hostilities. The delegation being prepared for the meeting is very broad and includes key figures.
The delegation includes Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council; Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the President's Office; and David Arakhamia, leader of a parliamentary faction. It is also expected that Serhiy Kyslytsya, First Deputy Head of the President's Office, will participate in the meeting.
The formation of this delegation indicates that the negotiations must be conducted seriously and based on mutual understanding. At the same time, support from European countries is of great importance.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that Europe must also actively participate in the negotiations regarding Ukraine. In his speech to parliament on March 18, he warned that negotiations should not bypass the heads of Ukraine and European countries.
Merz called for continued pressure on Moscow, emphasizing that there is reliable information that the Russian economy is suffering serious damage due to the war and sanctions in Germany. In his view, peace can only be achieved through a strong alliance and joint efforts.
