Saudi journalist sharply criticized US alliance policy

Prominent Saudi journalist Mubarak Al-Ati openly expressed his sharp critical views regarding the policy of the United States of America in the region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He noted that during the difficult times when Iran launched an attack on Saudi Arabia's oil refining infrastructure, Washington failed to fulfill its alliance obligations. At that time, official Riyadh expected practical assistance and a firm position from the US, but the American side preferred to remain silent in this situation.
The journalist evaluated this situation as an action completely contrary to the principles of long-term cooperation and alliance. Mubarak Al-Ati specifically noted that diplomatic efforts aimed at improving relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran and easing regional tensions are actively continuing today.
In his opinion, it is precisely this peace process that the US is obstructing in various ways and attempting to destabilize. According to the journalist, the American government is not interested in establishing peace in the region because their foreign policy has always been built upon conflicts and military confrontations.
In his speech, he called the US a military empire, emphasizing that this state cannot maintain its position without conflicts. The fact that the party which did not provide help when Iran attacked previously is now sabotaging the peace-building process is causing great dissatisfaction within Saudi society.
This statement will undoubtedly further intensify debates in the international arena regarding the role of the US in the Middle East, its foreign policy, and the reliability of its alliance relations. The development of these events indicates that a new page is opening on the regional political map.
