Former President of Poland expressed dissatisfaction with the amount of his pension

Former President of Poland Lech Walesa announced that he is dissatisfied with his pension provision. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He shared his views on this matter in an interview with O2 publication. The former head of state, who led the country from 1990 to 1995, is currently provided with a presidential pension.
The amount of this payment constitutes seventy-five percent of the current president's salary, which is approximately 3,770 dollars per month. According to the former president, these funds are not sufficient to cover all his needs.
If the pension amount had been as desired, he would have lived a peaceful and quiet life, resting in the lap of nature. Walesa noted that even today, due to material needs, he is forced to work tirelessly and go on various international trips.
He stated that a large part of his funds is spent on daily expenses, necessary medical services, and costs associated with maintaining his professional activities. At the same time, Lech Walesa said that although he was entitled to another pension, he waived it for certain principled reasons.
He mentioned that he has not received this additional payment for twenty years, citing as the reason that Poland's economy is still not sufficiently developed and the poverty level in the country remains high. The former president explained this decision based on financial responsibility and his attitude toward his homeland.
In his opinion, the state budget should be distributed more effectively.
