Turkey Initiates Restoration of Dialogue Between Russia and Ukraine

Turkey is once again returning to the center of global politics, as reported by Zamin.uz. Official Ankara has launched large-scale diplomatic efforts to revive the stalled peace process and end the bloody clashes.
The Turkish leadership's new plan and the details of the anticipated historic meeting are currently in the spotlight. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan recently held important talks in Ankara with heads of international organizations.
The Turkish leader emphasized that the time has come to restore the dialogue between Russia and Ukraine, which had been interrupted due to various regional conflicts. During discussions with European leaders, Erdoğan also noted that instability surrounding Iran negatively impacts not only neighboring regions but also the security of all of Europe.
The Ukrainian side also places great hope on Ankara's role in finding a path to peace. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha put forward an important proposal from Kyiv at a recent diplomatic conference.
According to the proposal, a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian leader Vladimir Putin could be organized specifically in Turkey. The most intriguing aspect of this process is that not only Recep Tayyip Erdoğan but also U.S.
President Donald Trump is expected to participate as a mediator in this historic dialogue. Ukrainian officials state their desire to end the war and identify Turkey as a key force capable of accelerating this process.
The Russian side does not entirely rule out the possibility of a presidential meeting but sets specific conditions. According to Kremlin representatives, direct dialogue between the two heads of state can only occur at the stage of final consolidation of agreements reached through negotiations—namely, the document-signing phase.
Prior to this, concrete conclusions must be reached at the working group level. International policy analysts are discussing whether the joint efforts of Erdoğan and Trump can bring Putin and Zelenskyy to the same table.
The question of whether Turkey can once again bring the world back to peace remains one of the most pressing topics. The development of events demonstrates Turkey's growing influence not only on a regional but also on a global scale.
