Zelenskyy to Hold Talks with Saudi Crown Prince

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Saudi Arabia on an official visit on April 24, according to Zamin.uz. The head of state is scheduled to hold important negotiations with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud in Riyadh.
Notably, this marks Zelenskyy's second trip to the country in the last few weeks. International media outlets are reporting on the details of the meeting.
As the Ukrainian leader announced on his official page, the primary goal of this visit is to elevate cooperation between the two nations in the fields of security, energy, and infrastructure to a new level. Previously, during a meeting in late March this year, the parties agreed to work together in the defense sector.
The President specifically noted that he highly values the meaningful relations between the two countries based on mutual trust. Furthermore, the Ukrainian government has signed significant agreements with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates regarding the production of unmanned aerial vehicles and the development of effective anti-drone systems.
These projects are planned to be implemented through contracts involving Ukrainian private and state enterprises. These agreements are said to be of strategic importance for both sides.
Against the backdrop of the complex political and military situation in the region, the Kyiv administration is striving to comprehensively strengthen ties with the Gulf states. In particular, the Ukrainian side expressed its readiness to share its accumulated experience in destroying modern drones.
It is also considering the possibility of sending military specialists to assist in repelling various attacks in the Middle East region. Such cooperation is expected to play an important role in ensuring regional security.
