On June 4, 2024, a passenger bus traveling from Astana to Shymkent caught fire in the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan. It was reported that there were 5 citizens of Uzbekistan on board during this emergency situation. This was officially announced by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan.

The fire broke out in the bus's engine compartment

According to reports, the fire started in the engine compartment of the bus at the 960th kilometer of the Astana-Karaganda-Almaty highway. Before the emergency services arrived, the driver and passengers managed to extinguish the flames in the engine compartment.

Representatives of the rescue service noted that they urgently evacuated more than 30 passengers and took them to a camping area located along the road, providing everyone with necessary medical and psychological assistance.

Number of passengers and children among them

There were a total of 34 people on the bus, including 9 children. According to official information, it was confirmed that there were 5 citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan among the passengers.

Happy detail — no one was injured

The report emphasized that no one sustained injuries or was harmed as a result of this incident. This was attributed to the prompt and precise actions of the rescuers.

Despite the fire on the bus, all citizens remained safe and were evacuated promptly, demonstrating the effectiveness of Kazakhstan's emergency services. Given that there were Uzbeks among the passengers, this incident is being closely monitored in our country as well.

In such situations, quick and coordinated actions play a crucial role in preventing tragedy.
