Kazakhstan ranks first in the region in pure spirit consumption

New data on alcohol consumption per capita among Central Asian countries has been released. Zamin.uz reported on this.
According to the research results, Kazakhstan ranks first in the region in this regard. Based on international calculations, an average of 5.4 liters of pure alcohol per person per year is recorded in Kazakhstan.
This indicator has not only made the country a leader in Central Asia but has also caused it to occupy the middle ranks in global lists. Kyrgyzstan takes second place in the region.
In that country, this indicator amounts to 3.9 liters per person per year. In Turkmenistan, an average consumption of 3 liters of pure alcohol was recorded.
In Uzbekistan, the indicator is estimated at 2.1 liters. Tajikistan has the lowest result in the region, with 0.7 liters of alcohol per capita per year.
Analysts note that in some Muslim countries, the consumption of alcoholic beverages remains close to zero. In particular, the lowest indicators were recorded in Kuwait, Iran, Syria, and Pakistan.
Globally, Romania is considered the leader in this list. According to the data, an average of 17.1 liters of pure alcohol per year falls on each citizen over the age of 15.
Experts emphasize that such indicators are of great importance in assessing the lifestyle, cultural environment, and attention to a healthy life of the population.
