The US and Iran could sign a ceasefire agreement in Geneva

The US and Iran may sign a mutual understanding memorandum in Geneva on June 19. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Al Arabiya English has obtained a copy of the document. The 14-point project aims to fully stop military operations, restore relations between the two countries, and develop economic cooperation.
According to the document, the US, Iran and their allies will assume the obligation to immediately stop military operations in all areas, including the situation in Lebanon. The parties will reach an agreement to respect each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity and not to interfere in internal affairs.
The final agreement is scheduled to be signed within 60 days at the latest. For this, the US needs to lift the naval blockade, withdraw its military forces from the region, and restore maritime traffic.
Iran, in turn, will assume the obligation to resume the movement of commercial vessels between the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf, remove technical barriers, and take necessary security measures. The document also mentions the creation of a program worth at least 300 billion dollars to restore Iran's economy with the participation of the US and regional partners.
The funds will be mainly directed to the energy, logistics, transport and manufacturing sectors. It is also planned to gradually lift the sanctions imposed on Iran by the US, return frozen assets, and provide licenses for oil exports.
Iran has once again confirmed that it will not create a nuclear military force. All issues related to the nuclear program will be resolved within the framework of the final agreement.
According to Reuters, Tehran had previously demanded compensation of 400 billion dollars from Washington, but the US rejected this proposal. For this reason, the proposal to establish a private investment fund of 300 billion dollars is being postponed.
The final agreement may be approved by a mandatory resolution of the UN Security Council.
