State of emergency declared in Bolivia due to mass protests

Bolivian President Rodrigo Pas announced that a state of emergency has been declared in the country due to ongoing mass protests. Zamin.uz reported this.
According to him, this decision was made in order to stabilize the situation in the country, open blocked roads, and restore transport movement. Pas emphasized that the road closures are seriously hindering people's ability to go to work, attend school, and obtain food and essential products.
Additionally, problems have arisen in providing medical assistance. The President stated that the state of emergency was introduced not to disrupt normal life, but to restore it.
Protests have been continuing in Bolivia since last month. Protesters are demanding the president's resignation, a review of labor conditions, and the repeal of certain laws.
Officials state that emergency measures will be applied to bring the situation under control and ensure public order.
