A safe full of dollars was found in the home of a Venezuelan diplomat

Following the powerful landslides in Venezuela, search and rescue operations continue in the affected areas amid controversy, according to Earth.uz.
During the process of mitigating the consequences of the natural disaster, an unexpected incident occurred in the Playa Grande district, facing the state of La Guayra. Amid the debris of one of the collapsed multi-story buildings, a large safe filled with US dollars was discovered.
The find quickly attracted significant attention and sparked debate among local residents and the wider public. Videos circulating on social media showed the safe broken open, with large amounts of cash scattered around it.
As these images spread, many people gathered at the scene, complicating the situation somewhat. According to eyewitnesses, some individuals participating in the rescue efforts, as well as bystanders, began collecting the scattered banknotes.
However, there is no clear information indicating that these funds were officially seized by state authorities or handed over through proper procedures. As of now, the Venezuelan government and law enforcement agencies have refrained from issuing an official statement regarding the matter.
The exact amount of money inside the safe, the identity of its legal owner, and the source of these funds remain unknown. Specialists continue their investigation at the site.
Meanwhile, local residents have been speculating and spreading rumors about the possible owner of the wealth. Officials emphasize that all questions will be clarified once the investigative work is completed.
This incident has become one of the most debated topics in the areas affected by the earthquake’s aftermath.
