Tehran began farewell ceremonies with Iran's top leader

Farewell ceremonies for Iran's former supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, have officially begun. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Initial mourning events are being held in the country's capital, Tehran. This information was confirmed by international media outlets, specifically the RBC publication.
Security measures have currently been tightened in the capital's streets, and thousands of people are gathering to bid farewell to the deceased. According to the established schedule, the mourning events will continue from July 4 to July 9 of this year.
The ceremonies will not be limited to the capital but are also expected to be organized in several major cities of Iran. Nearly a hundred official delegation members, statesmen, and representatives of the diplomatic corps from various countries around the world are expected to participate in these events.
This demonstrates the international significance of the farewell ceremony. According to the plan, the main farewell and burial ceremonies will take place in Tehran from July 4 to July 6.
Following this, a mourning procession will be organized on July 7 in the city of Qom, which is considered one of the country's religious centers. On July 8, the body of the deceased is planned to be transported to Iraqi territory, where appropriate religious ceremonies will also be held.
As a final stage, the interment ceremony will take place in the city of Mashhad on July 9. As a reminder, reports had spread that 86-year-old Ayatollah Ali Khamenei died on February 28 of this year as a result of military strikes carried out by the US and Israel.
This event has intensified the political situation in the region and remains the center of attention for the international community. Currently, the Iranian government is taking all measures to hold the mourning ceremonies at the highest level.
