Ukrainian restaurant in Kyiv left in ruins after rocket attack

Following another Russian missile attack on Kyiv, the famous Uzbek plov restaurant in the capital was completely destroyed, Zamin.uz reported.
The restaurant’s management shared the information on social media. According to the statement, the eatery was located on Garmatnaya Street in Kyiv.
As a result of the strike, the building suffered serious damage and was nearly reduced to rubble. Fortunately, no staff or customers were inside at the time of the attack.
Therefore, there were no reports of casualties or injuries. The restaurant’s management informed its customers that operations would continue temporarily at another branch located at the first house on Garmatnaya Street in Kyiv.
It should be noted that this is not the first tragic incident involving an Uzbek plov restaurant in Ukraine. Earlier, in 2022, 36-year-old Uzbek entrepreneur Sardor Hakimov, who had been distributing free plov to local residents in Chuguyev, was killed in a Russian missile strike.
He was preparing meals for people in the yard of a building when the attack occurred and died on the spot. Sardor Hakimov had been living in Severodonetsk, Luhansk Oblast, since 2000.
Later, in 2014, he moved to Chuguyev, where he opened a restaurant serving Uzbek national dishes and a spice shop. After Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he sent his family to Uzbekistan but remained in Chuguyev, continuing to provide hot meals and humanitarian aid to locals in difficult circumstances until the end.
