The death toll from the Venezuelan landslide has risen

As a result of two powerful landslides in Venezuela, the number of dead has sharply increased, reaching 2,295 people according to the latest data, reported by Zemlya.uz.
According to a statement by National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez, the number of injured due to the natural disaster has also exceeded 11,000 people. In connection with this tragedy, a seven-day national mourning has been declared throughout the country.
Acting head of state Delcy Rodriguez emphasized that there is a chance to find survivors under the rubble, and stressed that search operations must not be stopped even for a minute. The state most affected by the natural disaster is reported to be La Guaira.
In this region, not only residential areas but also many government institutions and social facilities have been completely destroyed. Despite the difficult situation, rescue teams and volunteer groups continue to clear debris manually in areas where special equipment is not sufficiently available.

According to the latest reports, the number of victims has reached 2,595 people, while the number of injured citizens amounts to 12,400. Experts believe that many people may still be trapped under the rubble, which is why search and rescue operations have not yet been fully completed.
