Ukraine launched a large-scale attack with drones targeting Russia's borders

On the night of July 4, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a large-scale attack on Russian territories and the Crimean Peninsula using unmanned aerial vehicles, according to Zamin.uz.
According to reports, nearly four hundred drones were used during the operation. The main strikes were directed at Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
As stated by Leningrad Region Governor Aleksandr Drozdenko, air defense systems destroyed sixty-seven unmanned aerial vehicles detected in the region's airspace. The governor did not disclose specific details about casualties or damage resulting from the attack.
However, he warned that temporary disruptions to mobile internet services could occur in the area as part of enhanced security measures, and advised residents to avoid going outside unnecessarily.
Meanwhile, videos appeared on social media showing powerful explosions near the Petersburg oil terminal, one of the largest energy facilities in Saint Petersburg. Footage from eyewitnesses shows flames rising from fuel storage tanks.
As of now, no official comments have been issued by authorities regarding the incident. The oil terminal is considered one of the key logistics centers in the region.
Located near the Saint Petersburg seaport, it plays a crucial role in transporting oil and petroleum products via rail, pipeline, and maritime transport. Any disruption or fire at this facility could significantly affect Russia's export capacity.
It should be noted that this strategic facility has been targeted multiple times before. In particular, on June 3 of this year, during the opening of the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, a major fire was recorded at the terminal site.
The recurrence of such incidents has once again raised concerns about the security of Russia's critical energy infrastructure. Experts emphasize that continued attacks could cause serious damage to economic and logistics chains.
