Flight suspended after landing gear test in Bishkek

In Kyrgyzstan, a passenger aircraft belonging to TezJet Airlines experienced an unexpected technical malfunction during pre-flight preparations. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
While the aircraft, which was scheduled to fly from Bishkek to Osh, was moving along the taxiway for takeoff, a serious issue occurred in its landing gear system. As a result, the flight was immediately aborted, and emergency evacuation procedures were initiated for the passengers.
According to details from the incident at Manas International Airport, the aircraft’s rear landing gear strut collapsed while the plane was gaining speed. This caused the aircraft to lose balance and tilt onto its left side.
The situation was further complicated by the fact that fuel began to leak from the aircraft due to the malfunction, raising concerns about a potential fire. However, thanks to the vigilance of airport staff and the crew, a disaster was avoided.
There were a total of 181 passengers and six crew members on board. In accordance with safety protocols, everyone was evacuated quickly using emergency slides.
Airline officials confirmed that all passengers and crew exited the aircraft safely. Although initial reports indicated no injuries, it later emerged that several individuals sustained minor bruises.
It was emphasized that their condition was not life-threatening. Currently, the State Agency for Civil Aviation of Kyrgyzstan has launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
Specialists are working to determine exactly why the landing gear failed during takeoff. The crew’s prompt and composed actions in ensuring passenger safety under such a challenging situation have been highly praised.
Upon completion of the inspection, the exact causes of the technical failure are expected to be announced.
